  3. Establishes fire alarm system by installing equipment; running and pulling wiring; programming and calibrating equipment; adhering to codes, regulations, and standards.
  4. Verifies fire alarm system functioning by testing equipment, connections, and signals; identifying and correcting problems.
  5. Maintains records by documenting installation. Submit accurate and timely documentation to your immediate supervisor
  6. Maintains customer rapport by resolving concerns; answering questions.
  7. Maintains safe and secure work environment by following safe practices; keeping security information confidential.
  8. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  9. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  10. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests;
  11. Experience of Commercial Fire Alarm inspections, installation and service - Fire Extinguisher Inspection a bonus
  12. Working knowledge of equipment application, compatibility, mounting techniques, programming and testing desired
  13. Knowledge of electrical systems. Able to read diagrams and blueprints.
  14. Assist in the Inspection, installation and signal verification of Fire Alarm & Security Systems
  15. Computer skills; MS office, email
  16. Demonstrated leadership skills
  17. Maintain a acceptable driving record and drug testing
  18. Clear understanding of UL accounts
  19. Work in a team environment with paid "On Call" scheduling
  20. Extinguisher / Ansul Hood Systems Inspection and Testing

II. List of Fire alarm inspector qualifications

  1. Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office 2000 or XP
  2. Be able to work nights and weekends, if needed
  3. Possess good written and oral communication skills
  4. Experience in electronics a plus
  5. Possess a valid driver’s license
