I.
List of Fire inspector duties:
- Assists with inspections on JCI Building Systems and competitive equipment product lines, fire suppression equipment, emergency lighting equipment, and all other assigned systems.
- Completes Service Acknowledgment with proper coding through communicating devices, such as laptop computers and/or hardcopy. Obtains customer signature upon completion of assigned calls.
- Follows and maintains a highly structured inspection schedule and completes assigned inspections on time.
- Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections.
- Inputs, retrieves and archives inspection documentation via laptop computer.
- Makes minor repairs and programming changes while under direct, authorized supervision.
- Properly completes all reports, such as, mileage and monthly vehicle reports, as well as, the maintaining of adequate inventory levels within assigned inspection vehicles in like new condition.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Carries and moves equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds. Works in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces above ceilings, etc.
- Adheres to and follows safety guidelines and policies at all times

List of Fire inspector qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Electronics certification from an accredited technical school desired.
- Must be proficient in the use of personal computers to include Windows, test equipment (i.e. multimeters, battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters) and communicating devices.
- Fire suppression experience preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Company requirements.
- Demonstrated excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
- Must obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and local codes.
